It was a busy week for the VMRay Team at this year’s Black Hat Conference. Our CEO and Co-Founder, Carsten Willems sat down for an interview with Paul Asadoorian, host of the Security Weekly podcast. Carsten expanded upon his March interview with Security Weekly where he talked about the core hypervisor-based monitoring that powers VMRay to discuss the growing use cases for the technology. “We excel at detecting the most dangerous threats: zero-day, targeted, and other types of sophisticated malware. We want to use our technology to close the gaps left by existing products,” says Willems.
Carsten goes on to explain how customers no longer need to choose between scalability and effectiveness when it comes to dealing with the “flood of malware”. By wrapping a reputation engine and proprietary static analysis around VMRay’s hypervisor-based monitoring customers can apply the right detection at the right time, in a single stack.
